HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?
Due to the unwavering loyalty of our membership base, the West Coast Eagles has, for many years now, experienced extremely high member renewal rates.
These high renewal rates have meant that an equally low number of reserved seats are relinquished each season by non-renewing members. The club manages the distribution of these minimal available seats each season via a seat change and upgrade process.
Following the seat change process, when all current Reserved Seat members who have requested a change of seats have been given the opportunity to do so, there will be a number of seats available. While these will be the same quantum of seats relinquished by non-renewing members, they will not be the SAME seats – these will be the seats not chosen by members during the seat change process, or the seats the current members have vacated when they’ve moved into different seats. More often than not, the seats remaining after the seat change process are on level 5, or in the less expensive categories. The remaining available seats will be made available via offers to current members holding In The Wings, Flexi, or Multipass packages. These offers are made based on tenure, with the longest-serving members in the first wave of offers, and so on, until all seats have been sold, or all members have received an offer.
It is important that club members are rewarded for their loyalty; therefore, the club chooses to recognise consecutive years of membership as the primary determinant of priority for seat changes and upgrade offers. Note that consecutive membership includes movement between membership products; for example, if an In The Wings member moves interstate and carried on with a Victorian Gold membership without a break, they would retain their consecutive tenure.
